Black Wax - Dancing Song

I really like this video because the group decided not to film in a studio but light the 'set' which is a field with car lights which was clever and it still works.

I like the way that the band flick from being with the instruments too not having the instruments it is very clever and makes it look good. It still fits in with the music video even though they dont have the instruments with them for the whole song.I dont know whether i'd use this kind of thing but i think it does look really good.

Also the way that all of the people involved in the band are getting well into it which makes people believe it is actually a music video.

Fake Tales Of San Francisco (Final Draft)

I like this video because of the simplistic nature of the video. The fact they are filming it in a made up kind of room is quite clever and they have made it look a lot like an actual music video. They could have made the area look more like a studio but it still looks good and adds a different edge to the video.

I like the camera shots in the video for example one of the first shots is a close up on the guitar and the person actually playing the guitar which makes it look like he is playing it and it looks really good. Also the long shot of the whole band is a good shot and I am quite liking that so I would like to use that kind of thing in my video.

I think I would try and improve the mise en scene by seeing what the band would have worn back when the song came out and wear similar things to that and also the drummer isn't wearing any shoes which isn't something that i would do.

Hollow - The Look

I Like this video because of a few different things.

Firstly I thought the actors and people involved with the video were all really good and I would look to have people that want to do this in my video.

The camera shots are all very varied which obviously made the video a lot better and look more expertly made which it did look like that.

Also the mise en scene was all pretty much on point, all of the people who took part looked the part and this topped off the video and make it extremely well thought through and well made. I would make the people in my video look very smart in the right kind of clothes for the type of song and music that we were doing.

Oasis - Supersonic

I like this video for Oasis Supersonic because most of the video is in black and white and i can have that in my music video. Also having the band in the video i feel is important in making a successful music video. I feel having the correct clothing and right mise-en-scene is important in order to make an accurate music video.

Nirvana - Come As You Are

I like the symplistic style of the video and the way that most of the shots are faded in and out onto to the others. I could have this as one of my editing techniques when I am making my music video. Also the way they have used a waterfall to blur out most of the shots make a good style to the video which I could also copy.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication [Official Music Video]

The reason I like the video for the red hot chili peppers Californication is because it is like any other music video in parts where the band are together playing the song but also it is very detailed and like a video game which is played with each member of the band. i like this but it wouldn't be very easy for me to do something like this as my video.
